It was amazing to find people making pottery in public. It was part of their everyday life. With the historical setting here, Bhakatpur is a real city of art.

Pottery square mostly now consists of shops selling souvenir pots probably slip-cast in China. There are some real Nepali pots there, but you have to search. If you are in Bhaktapur, you might as well stroll over there, but you probably won't bet there more than 15 minutes.
Great square full of life and culture. Find a local tour guide to help with questions. Vendors friendly and a bit pushy at times but still very worth your time to visit.
