Machapuchre looms above Pokhara, Nepal. It is Nepal's "Matterhorn". I first visited the base camp in 1975 and after Chomrung and to pack my own food and sleep two nights in a cave. But don't worry, now there are lodges all the way to the Annapurna Santuary. I hope to visit there again soon.

Mt. Matterhorn of Nepal but only higher and with surpass able beauty! The "Jewel of the Annapurna Range" !! You have got to see it to believe !!
