Wow, sites are spectacular and even for the person not into the whole hiking scene, was worth the time to hike around a bit.

Anyone who loves to hike will love these trails. Visitor Center has a theatre to provide a history and overview of the park and what it has to offer. Museum in visitors center worth walking through. Go in the fall...The colors and vistas are spectacular!
Nice trails of varying degrees of difficulty. beautiful lake and waterfalls.
Lake of the Clouds, the trails, Lake Superior... virtually untouched by crowds. A place to hike, reflect and relish the beauty of Ontonogon County..a good time to visit is during the Porcupine Mountains Music Fest in the summer.
if you are a photog - or love being in nature this is a must do

It is just a short walk up a trail to get to the overlook. People of all shapes and sizes can easily make this view. A must see in the Porkie's!
We use the west entrance. The Black River enters Lake Superior there and the agate hunting is very good. Also, there are several wonderful hikes to view waterfalls along the Black River. For waterfall viewing, go in the Spring or early Summer - that's when the most water is coming over the falls.
