I think that no one should ever come here. It is nothing short of an eyesore waiting like 20 minutes for a ship to come and it takes forever for it to come through. Forget about the movie. I do not want to go to the city that has that in it ever again. more

Watch the giant freighters come through the locks from a covered viewing platform. Visitor Center has lots of info and displays including a schedule of what ships will come through the locks, when, and size of ship. Thirty minute historical movie to watch. Another one of those free sites that you run across! You do need to go through security before entering the park as this is an extremely important shipping lane on the Great Lakes.
