In our quest to take our young children on an edcuational family trip (ages 4, 6, 8), we came upon the International Wolf Center in Ely, MN. It is an amazing facility with tons of activities and learning experiences for kids and adults! The kids played in the wolf den, pinned wolf tails on themselves, learned about timberwolf habitat and... more

Educational center to teach the public about wolves. Nice area in Minnesota. We actually saw a wild wolf on the drive to the town of Ely. Good programs at the center, too. Sleep overs for kids, behind the scenes, field trips tracking wild wolves, etc.. We've visited several times over the past few years and keep going back. more

Come see this! Learn all about wolves, and where they can be found in the area. Admission is cheap, the gift shop is GREAT! Kids and adults will love the observation area. more

IWC is a very popular attraction, and with good reason. Knowledgable staff, good presentations, excellent exhibits, lots of programs to learn about wolves, and 5 wolves that are very easy to view in a good sized "natural" habitat. This is an especially good place if you are travelling with kids in the 5-12 age range. more
