The quality of the collection at the Minneapolis Art Institute rivals any in the country, yet it is small enough to see in a day without getting too overwhelmed. I had a great time at the MIA. The displays are great (very informative) and I really liked the period rooms. It was not far from the highway and was pretty easy to find. It was well worth the trip and I only wish we had more time. more

I went there several years ago with my parents and we loved it. Since then, I've taken several friends. In my opinion, it's the best place in Minneapolis! In addition to having great art, it's bright and airy, cheerful, and free. I think it's also a trolley tour stop. more
