Yup, 3 bucks (at the time of this writing) for an evening showing of a second-run film, and popcorn and drinks are very reasonable also. The lounge is just like a Fabulous 50's living room (pretty much everything in it has been there that long--check out the period pictures!). Only problem we've ever had there is that it sometimes attracts... More

Great theater and the best popcorn ever with real butter. This place is a step back in time. Each week featuring second run movies at a price you can afford. You can't miss the 1950's decor which make it a great place to catch a film on the big screen. Moves change each week. Friendly staff and just a good... More

The movies are the cheapest in town and there is real butter on the popcorn. What more could you possibly ask for? I also love that they serve hot tea.

Classic mid-century cinema experience! We LOVE the huge theater seating experience, the retro lobby, and CHEAP tickets!

This place is a treasure. All seats are $3.00 all the time, the popcorn is freshly made and is finished with real butter. Also, the seating and the sound system were updated 3 or 4 years ago. Plus, there is a little restaurant kitty corner across the street.

This theater has been updated and looks very nice. It makes you think you were there when it was first opened. They have several movies each day. They also host some live TV events (the Tour de France). Cost is very reasonable. We wish the two theaters in St Paul would get cleaned up like this one.

The price is right, the art deco interior lobby a treat, the large screen in good condition. When entering the theater go for the middle row it has more leg room. All seats in good condition and comfy. Tends to always have close to capacity crowd arrive early.

This is my go to theater for a girl's night out. It is a throwback to earlier times and the atmosphere is always fun and inviting. Traditional theater popcorn does not hold a candle to Riverview's popcorn...and it's very inexpensive. Go for the movie but save room for a bucket of popcorn! There is also a cute litte winebar across... More

I grew up with this movie theater and it will always get my business! You can't beat an evening ticket for $3 ($2 on Tuesdays!) and the best popcorn you could ask for. Don't know how they do it, but their popcorn is distinctly different than all other movie theaters. The lobby is deliciously retro; sometimes people who want to... More

This budget movie theater feels like a real community. Local businesses are promoted and offer discounts with a theater ticket. The theater has a cool retro feel to the decor, but the sound and film experience are modern and top rate. Every year they show the Oscar nominated short documentaries. They also hold marathons of Lord of the Rings and... More
