Used to get my hair done here when I worked downtown Minneapolis. Could work with a student in training and get a great style for a really reasonable price. They get some great training at this Institute.

Great place to be adventurous with your hair without paying too much. Also, great place to inexpensively get something routine, like waxing. The students work under an instructor's watchful eye, so the only down side is that it might take a little longer than a regular salon. Have gone there for years and have had great experiences.

No matter where else I go I still find I get the best color and haircuts here. I've also tried their manicure/pedicures - which are quite relaxing, and massages are hit and miss depending on who you get. I highly recommend this place. It does take longer for services, but well worth it to have it come out right!

The prices here are hard to beat, and the service has been fantastic. Be prepared that you will spend a probably 1.5x longer there since they are slower and need to consult with an instructor.

The Aveda institute is great because you can make a salon appointment for dirt cheap! I've never had anyone mess up my hair, they have instructors coming around to evaluate and help if necessary. You have to call in advance and they don't have the most convenient hours, but thre price is worth it.

My husband and I both booked a massage package as part of a way to unwind on a long road trip. It was the best Aveda experience I have ever had, and a great value as well. Aveda Institutes are a great way to be extravagant without breaking the bank at a a traditional Aveda salon.

First class services for discount prices. It's hard to complaint but the service can be slow and disorganized at times. It's not always lacking but I always allow extra time for services just in case.

I have long fragile hair, so I was nervous. They did a great job (low lights and a trim) A supervisor was always "hovering" nearby, and consulted with the stylist before she did anything. At the end a supervisor checks in with you and asks you about your experience and to see if you are happy with the job they... More

Discounted services performed by highly trained, supervised students. The hair cuts and colors are a little slow, and the mani/pedi was just average. However, the estheticians and masseuses are outstanding. Make reservations 3 weeks in advance. Appointments book up quickly.
