Loved the zoo, especially the male and female lions, and the giraffes. Also some very interesting monkeys. The working rainforest was awesome, we got to see and touch a cocao bean, vanilla bean, and got some knowledge from a volunteer there. It was an awesome place to see, we spent about 3 hours there. And it's free! (We did give... more

My husband and I got tired of paying the high entrance fees to the Twin Cities' largest amusement park, Valleyfair, only to stand as spectators watching our children go on the kiddie rides. Como Park is home to Como Town, a small amusement park catering to younger children. You can purchase tickets, an all-day wristband or pay NOTHING if you're... more

I have recently discovered that I really enjoy zoos, so this is the third zoo that my wife and I have visited in the past two months. And though the Como Zoo is relatively small and rather simple in comparison to the others, we had a blast. What makes it especially noteworthy is that there was no admission fee, just... more

Como zoo is a great way to spend the day. It is free. Remember they depend on donations or people eating at their cafe/buying suveniers in order to take care of the zoo animals/zoo grounds! Go see all the animals, then head over to como town, the little amusement park that's still cheap and let the kids ride the rides. more

This isn't a great zoo, but for the money it's a great value. The kids will love it. more

The zoo is small which is a bonus for parents with young kids (like us) cuz it's free & easy to get through in half a day, but it could use a makeover. We live in Madison, WI and this zoo is very similar to our Vilas Zoo in that it's free and it's small. However, it felt like Como... more

I went to the Minnesota Zoo last month, and then decided to hit the Como Zoo this month, and boy was I glad I did! I kept hearing rave reviews of the Como and now I had to add my own! They have a way better selection of animals and the exibits let you see them up closer. They also... more

The Zoo and Conservatory have been extensively upgraded during the last three years, and the tropical rain forest extension that has been built on between the Zoo and the Conservatory is quite lovely. I miss the old, dank fern room, but the new one is so lovely that complaints for all that is lost seem inappropriate. As a practical manner,... more

My family loves to go to Como Zoo. It's free; and this is a zoo you would pay for. You are guaranteed to see animals. It is small enough to do in a day or half a day (for those with nappers). Purchasing minnows to feed the seals is a tradition dating back to my childhood. The amusement park area... more

I have been to the Como Conservatory many times and to the Como Zoo once. Its a great place to visit and an affordable place as well. All they ask is that you give a few dollar donation when you visit. Its open year around. In the winter, visiting the conservatory is a wonderful way to get out of the... more
