The park is just lovely. The museum is beautiful as well as informative, I love sitting in the rockers on the porch and watching The Mighty Mississippi flow by.
The Tunica RiverPark was interesting and fun. The map of the museum was easy to follow and everything was very informative. Loved the layout and the observation deck. The only negative was that we did not get to ride the Riverboat. It was too windy so they had to cancel. But, that is the fault of Mother Nature and not... More
If you like history then this place is a must see. Great exhibits on the area and the power of the river. Note that the riverboat only runs on the weekend.
We keep hoping to take the boat on the Mississippi and are never in town on the day it runs, but have heard it is wonderful. Great place to spend an hour or so learning the history of the area and it is a beautiful spot.
The Tunica Queen is a 3 story boat, we sat on the top deck. A perfect day for a cruise on the Mississippi. The captain gave us lot of info on the boat and the river. It was a relaxing couple of hours, nice music and a cocktail if you desired.
Took my 95 year old father-in-law to check the Museum out based on the positive reviews. A very enjoyable hour. The exhibits are well done and give a good understanding of the river history. The view of the Mississippi River from the rocking chairs on the long "porch" was relaxing (also can sit in the ac inside if heat is... More
The museum traces the history of the area and movement of the river through time. The local aquatic life is easily seen in the aquariums. Definitly take the elevator to the third floor observaton area. The sight of this majestic slow moving river is one you won't forget. However, because of all the rain do not try to walk the... More
Museum was one of the better ones I have visited. There were many displays recreating the history of the region. Along with aquariums which housed fish and reptiles. From the third floor observatory deck, the view of the river was very humbling.
My husband and I visited the RiverPark on a Tuesday evening. We appreciated their later hours for summer time. Since everything in the area is so costly due to being in the casino area we didn't bother with the $10/pp entry to the museum. We were highly disappointed that the Tunica Queen Riverboat cruises only cruise on Friday, Saturday and... More
