They do warn you of the steps and the "huff and puff" stairway out... but I dont think I was I was quite prepared! Yes, I am overweight. Yes, I am out of shape. Yes, I work behind a desk. Wow.. by the time I saw light... I was wondering if I was going to make it out at all!... more

We visited SDC last fall after many years absence and I was really looking forward to visiting Marval Cave. I hadn't been there since I was in my twenties. Once again, it was one of the most enjoyable sights at SDC. The cool air in the cave was a relief to the sun and 80 degree outside temps. I'm 40+,... more

I live in Springfield, Mo and our family visits Silver Dollar City several time per year, and we almost always visit Marvel Cave. Several reviewers have mentioned how tiring it is, but I'll tell you--If an almost 200 pound, almost 40 year old woman like me can do it, it's not that tough! Sure, you're ready to sit down for... more

Yes it is a very beautiful thing to see, if you are short, super skinny, and workout EVERY day. They give you warnings about being pregnant and disabled people shouldn't go, but my goodness, the first thing you do is go down over 300 STEEP downhill steps, with no breaks. On my way down, along with many others, we started... more

The cave is a lot of fun, and very interesting, but we made the mistake of riding water rides first, and the cave is COLD!! My four year old son shivered during the entire tour. Other than that, the cave is an awesome experience and the tour guide goes slow enough that you don't get too tired or overwhelmed. Overall,... more

If you are in Silver Dollar City I must suggest you reserve a hour and 15 minutes for this tour. They warn you of the climb back up but it is really not bad. It is a total of 600 steps. only 140 going back up. The tram will carry you the rest of the way. The cave is pretty.... more

This tour is wonderful! You cannot go to Silver Dollar City and pass this one up. This cave has lots of stairs and low entryways, so watch out! more
