This exhibit is unique and very well presented. It is truly amazing how some things have changed, and how other things have not. It is wonderful to see how this family decided to preserve and exhibit these artifacts all together instead of selling them off. Seeing this collection of everyday objects is like taking a trip back in time to... More

I was pleasantly surprised and satisfied. After, we paid out a pretty penny, I expected disappointment. Instead, enjoyed a unique and fascinating museum experience.

If you haven't been there, go. NOW!! This is a semi-hidden gem in KC. The story is compelling. The artifacts are abundant and the history is interesting. Fun for every age. Even friends who went there after several years were impressed with the growth of the collection and the information.

This is a jewel of a museum - I can't go enough times. It is fascinating how they found it, restored it & are still doing so. It is a fascinating look at what was found on this supply boat. I love this place!

Worth going to; plan to go on a Saturday when the Saturday market is also going on right outside. Great place for lunch, with a wide variety of ethnic options.

I liked all the detailed history being brought up from under the sand and soil and being perfectly preserved in glass jars. There were buttons, pins, cookware, cloth, shoes, etc. Tons of things to look at plus facts about the Steamer and the disaster that sunk her.

Telling the tale of the Steamboat Arabia, who sank after hitting a submerged tree in the Missouri River, this family run museum show the remains of the ship after it had been discovered under 45 feet of mud. Because of the encasement in the mud the ship and its contents were well preserved and can now be viewed here. Your... More

Seen this before but my family had not. Quite enjoyed it again. Love the displays of dishes etc. and hearing the story of its restoration. This is a very nice asset to the city.
