Known for its many fountains, Kansas City, MO is a great place to visit. Viewing the lit fountains at night is especially enjoyable.

There is something so tranquil and yet invigorating about being in Kansas City with all of its wonderful fountains. The Country Club Plaza area is especially well endowed with bubbling offerings that provide cooling visual respite on a hot summer's day.
The fountains are nice, but the best ones we saw were at Kaufman. The ones throughout the city are ok but not nearly on the level we expected.
Kansas City has over 150 fountains and sculptures around the city. Initially many fountains were needed to water horses but after cars came along the city recognized how much joy these water sculptures provided so many people gave them to the city. They are everywhere - gargantuan Greek carvings to pocket-park bubblers. And, most impressively, the various inter-woven cities that make up KC metro do a great job of keeping them in repair. Just look around, you'll find 3 or 4
Love that wherever you travel within KC that there is usually a beautiful fountain nearby. Most people think of KC as Little po-dunk Midwestern town with BBQ, livestock and cornfields but we have a lot of beauty and art - one of which is our lovely and abundant supply of fountains.
