Easy to spend an hour or two in here. Best to do the tag-a-long tour to get the most out of it.

I would have liked to see more of the actual building & less glass cases of broken crockery. The video was good, & the few real stories & examples of life they had around the place.

The Commissariat Store Museum occupies the bottom floor of what was a storage building for essential supplies and grain. The original building was closer to the shore and had been destroyed in a tsunami so this larger building was built further back from the store. The Commissariat Museum takes up the bottom floor of the Commissariat building. The upper floor is All Saints Anglican Church.
