The area has recently been flooded and the steps and park area will need some work. The worst part was as we got out of our car the many vagrant people who were hanging out there were approaching anyone who happened to drive up. Right now, work is underway to complete a magnificent new attraction along the bank of the Missouri River, in St. Joseph, Missouri. So far, a mile long concrete hike/bike trail is in place, with many historic markers in place along the way.
