The shows here are good, but the seats are tight; too tight for a humid St. Louis summer night. It's hot, buggy and cramped. Forest Park is wonderful, but the Muny makes for a miserable few hours. Not even a visit toTed Drewes afterwards can save this experience for me.

One of the largest outdoor theatres in the country. From June to August they present a different show each week. If you are on a budget then grab one of the free seats!

Every once in awhile when I am at a MUNY show I look around and realize what a great place this is and right in the middle of Forest Park. For an even better experience...picnic before the show!

The Muny is in a beautiful setting within Forest Park. Each year we try to go to 3 to 5 shows and we always seem to pick the hottest evenings of the week. But the shows are worth the heat. We try to sit in section A because we like to see the expressions on the faces of the actors....

My daughter and I went last summer and really enjoyed the performance as did my husband and I the following week. The shows are always lively, colorful and well performed. First, I want to say the performances are excellent. The talent is great. That is not the problem, the problem is sitting out on plastic seats in St. Louis summer heat and humidity. It is just miserable. I would never go again. Never.

The outdoor theater is a wonderful place to spend a summer evening listening to great music and watch amazing musical theater. We have been season subscribers for 15 years and our daughter now attends with us. The fans help keep everyone cool before the show starts and during intermission. Great times great atmosphere. Arrive early and bring a picnics c to enjoy outside on the grounds. Want to go free you can but bring binoculars. You will still enjoy the show.

We always sit in the free seats because my family is large. It's still a bargain to see the shows even when you pay for a ticket. A new show each week. Bring a picnic supper to eat in the park before you go in.
