Spacious grounds with reasonable entry fee. Gorgeous flowers, shrubs, trees. Enjoy the smells of the Mediterranean House and the tropical ambiance of the Climatron (great place to visit in February).

To start, parking is free and if you are a local it's cheaper, we're out of towners so it cost us $8 per person which is reasonable given the facilities. We went a bit early in season so there weren't alot of flowers in bloom, but it's a clean garden, and a nice place to walk. The Japanese garden isn't... More

One of the most lovely outdoor spaces you will find anywhere. The research component of MOBOT is among the best in the world. The Wednesday night concerts during the summer with free admission are not to be missed. Bring good food, a few bottles of wine, and friends for a great evening.

In the winter the place was just too empty. Yet there was a lot to see. I could not tell if there was any tour schedule for Shaw's Mansion. It was easy to get lost and not find your way back to the entrance. I wanted to see more than the usual hot-house plants. When the geodesic dome opened up... More

Don't let the name of the place fool you- Children will love the Garden as much as the adults. The maze, the fish, the playgound... Kids will have a ball here. The Missouri Botanical Garden (aka "Shaw's Garden") is one of the most beautiful spots in the city of St. Louis. There are many paths, which makes it easy if... More

In addition to the already amazing, huge, world class garden grounds, this summer you are in for an amazing delight as the Lantern Festival debuts! We are talking GRAND scale, amazing lantern art work THROUGHOUT the entire garden. It is vibrant, playful, majestic and awe inspiring and that was just what we saw during the day as they were putting... More

Its the second best garden Ive ever seen. I must rate Buechart Gradens in Victoria Canada the best although not as versatile.
