My wife and I visited the museum of transport and had a look pack at when trains were the main method of travel. There are a great many trains and cars to visit and I found it interesting to see the high class of travel that trains provided. One thing to remember when visiting is that there will be a... More

My little two-year-old loves trains: especially riding them. Get a ticket that allows for you to ride the train that they have (the ticket allows for unlimited access/number of rides). Great way to spend some time together as a family. Highly recommend.

My young son really dug this place. He is really into trains, and the look on his face when he saw some of them here was priceless. They have other events here too, from time to time. I love the nostalgia that I get when I am here.

As my son says, this is Five Star even on a rainy day. Yes, it poured the whole time we visited, and we got soaked and cold, but loved our visit. Secret to success - there are only two major portions of trains undercover, so be prepared with sunscreen, coats, umbrellas, or whatever you need for being outside. This is... More

Our family loves this place! With 2 little boys who delight in trains, they light up while walking on and climbing through the rows of train cars and pulling the strings to make the engine bells ring! As of March 2012 the new lower parking lot, welcome center, gift shop and Creation Station are all open. If you plan on... More

I just might not be the target audience for this museum, but I didn't find it that interesting or interactive.

If you want to have a lot of fun, don't miss visiting this museum. Our grandchildren love trains and want to visit this museum each year. The kids can climb on the trains and pretend to be the engineer. For a fee, you can ride on a miniature train. You could spend the biggest part of the day here. Go... More

We had a nice time visiting the Museum of Transportation. Our son really enjoyed riding the tram and the train, and we all enjoyed walking in and out of the various train cars. Between the train ride and price of admission, it is not an inexpensive venue, but people of all ages who love trains will think that it's worth... More

Just visited the Museum of Transportation in St. Louis county yesterday. I grew up nearby and hadn't visited in probably 15 years. Wow - they have made lots of improvements to the grounds and now have a number of buildings with various displays. Trains are very well maintained and there are a huge variety. We happened to hit one of... More
