This museum has a couple of neat looking exhibits but you really don't need to spend more than a few minutes here before getting bored. It provides just enough entertainment until you can see the main attraction here which is the arch.

The Museum of Westward Expansion exceeded my expectations for a history museum. The collection is well organized and thoughtfully displayed. A stunning collection of panoramic photos illustrate passages from diaries of the Lewis and Clark expedition. Exhibits on the western expansion and the Lewis & Clark expedition were interesting and well presented.

Lots of educational exhibits. Spend awhile here with the kids enjoying all of it.

Located under the Arch;excellent exhibits telling the story of Lewis and Clarks adventures exploring Jefferson's Louisianna Purchase. You will love it if you enjoy US history and the stories about learning about the people and land of the West. Visit here if you only have one day in St. Louis

It's a good place to spend the time you're waiting for your ride to the top of the arch, but it has seen better, fresher days.

For an NPS-related museum, this one is a bit lacking. Good information and quotes on the wall - but that's stuff you can get from books.
