This was an amazing place for older kids. We have a 3 1/2 yr old and a 1 1/2 yr old and they didn't really benefit from it. They liked seeing everything though! i dont really have much to say about the saint louis science center. there's quite a few hands on type exhibits. IMHO, everything is geared for younger children. ages 11+ will probably get bored pretty quickly. they have a earthquake machine downstairs that's pretty cool tho. the guy on the monitor talks about what they are and how they work.... more

Finally went to the Science Center...I like the design and that it is connected to the Planetarium, but would have liked more things geared toward adults. Lots of hands-on things for kids, but not much for adults. Forest Park, which is is near, is a gem, though. more

The Science Center is great for kids and okay for adults without kids. We went to the night time sky show in the planetarium and were fairly disappointed. You can sit in uncomfortable chairs or lay on thin mats to watch the show. It was less than expected and cost $5 per person. more

This is one of the best places for children of all age ranges in St. Louis. It is absolutely NOT going downhill or too commercialized as previously stated. I think the Science Center is becoming too commercial. I recently heard they are putting a Build-A-Dino shop in the museum. Does this mean they will have to let in every commercial establishment that wants to be there. What's next? Discovery Channel Store, Macys? The museum has been heavily renovated and is not as good as it used too be.... more
