Service was good, pleasant staff. The potato salad was worth the trip alone and the slaw was no slouch either. Be warned the so called barbecue sauce tastes like watered down Cambell's tomato soup with a drop of tobacco, disgusting. Pork sandwich mostly fat and not the good and tasty fat, yes there is good and tasty fat. Overall not... More

Very good musical place at Downtown St. Louis. Musicians played with inspiration, food was good.

The food here was so-so and HUGE portions! I went with my partner who got some kind of veggie "meatloaf" sandwich and I got the black beans and rice. The music was good. It was packed so we sat at the bar. My only complaints were that my bartender kept ignoring me until I got bossy (i.e. intoxicated) and the... More

LOVED visiting this bar! There's usually a cover charge but it's so worth it if a good band is playing. Grab a monthly playlist (usually at the front door, no need to pay covercharge if you're just getting the line-up) and ask the guy up front when to come back if you don't recognize the names of the bands performing.... Outside, the building looks average...like a run down building but inside is bursting with energy and music. Its not the place to go to if you're in a hurry and you don't like crowds. People line up to get inside, so get there early to get a table. The music is fantastic and the soul food is awesome. You have... More

Loved this place. Not only was there a great blues band and decent bar but the food was delicious. Fresh made chips and salsa and the soup was awesome. Bartenders were funny and the atmosphere was laid back. Smoking allowed

This is a great stop on your trip to St. Louis. The Blues are a St. Louis tradition and this club offers some great blues musicians, accompanied by good food and an outstanding staff. Our waitress did a super job, the fodd was delicious and the beer was cold? Very easy to get to, just down the street from Busch... More

This was our first stop after leaving the hotel, a quick $10 ride from the Holiday Inn Select. Our first impressions was that this was our bag completely. characters at the bar laughing loudly, smoking ( which was a pleasant surprise) and rather surly but efficient staff. We ordered the local special of fried ravioli in breadcrumbs and the gumbo.... More
