ZooMontana is not your ordinary zoo. i usually avoid zoos because as an animal lover, I don't enjoy seeing animals confined in cages. This zoo is different. True, it's not huge and it's not flashy, but it's a great place to visit. I took my preschool class in May 2008 and we had a wonderful time walking the well-maintained trails,... more

I think the zoo has a lot of animals for being a fairly new zoo. Great natural setting. I saw bald eagles, wolves, owls, bighorns, river otters, wolverine, porcupine, siberian tiger, red panda, sika deer, a lot of ducks, geese and barn animals including a HUGE horse. more

This is a VERY SMALL zoo. Half of it is comprised of domesticated animals (or so it seems). Though the zoo is located in Montana, there are no bears. If you're from out of town, save your money and drive to Yellowstone National park where you can see animals in the wild. The zoo does have scheduled activities for kids,... more
