The theatre along with the entire town of Fort Peck was built by the US Army Corps of Engineers in the 1930's as part of building Fort Peck Dam. In its heyday, of the mid 1930's movies ran around the clock to entertain the workers. The Theatre is now a Historic Landmark and is now owned by the Fort Peck Fine Arts Council and has live performances on weekends in the summer.

We try to attend at least one play during the summer season which is Memorial Day to Labor Day. The events are always well done and worth the trip.

Having been fortunate enough to have seen live theatre in both NYC and London, the plays presented here are super. Some even better than at the aforementioned cities. Exciting to see local members of the community strut their stuff. A real enjoyable time spent in a restored theatre.
