Our combined families visited the Conrad Mansion 2 Xmases (2006) ago. It still remains in memory as a great tour. We had kids 6, 8, 11, 13 , their mothers, and us grandparents. The house is very interesting and held all the kids interests (1 girl, 3 boys). The stories, especially about Mrs. Conrad opening the house to xmas dinner... more

The Conrad Mansion is an exquisite example of Arts & Crafts architecture and Victorian style furnishings. The house was donated to the City of Kalispell in the 1970's. 90% of the furnishings in the house are original to the Conrad family. The Conrad Mansion is situated on the Eastside of downtown Kalispell. This stately home was constructed in the late 1800s by Charles Conrad. He was a shipping magnate, along with his brother, and settled in the Flathead Valley area. He built his mansion, opened the first bank and helped layout the town of Kalispell.
