The visitors center is very informative, they will let you know where the main ares to see the animals are before you start out. We saw plenty of bison and there calves. Unfortunately one of the loops wasn't open but reopens on the 12th May. Well worth a visit.

There's not much hiking here - just some short paths - but to see American bison, prong horned antelope, deer, black bear, elk, and oodles of different kinds of birds from your car - it's well worth the trip. Bring binoculars and a camera with telephoto.

The roundup is a wonderful time to plan to be at the Range. Can drive and see all the animals up close. Worth the side trip!

We've seen bears, rams, elk, deer, and... of course Bison! Coolest trip there the elk were bugling across the river and we caught sight of the biggest rack I''ve seen in my life.

Be sure to go at least a couple of hours before sunset, take lots of pictures, and when you encounter a herd of bison, stay in the car!! Wonderful place.

This is a driving tour that takes you through some of the most beautiful rolling hills of Montana. Located north of Missoula you drive along a 20 mile stretch of road and will most likly see Elk, bison, fox, wolfs and of course deer.

Great opportunity to see Bison for the first time. It is basically a safari, you drive through and do your best to spot them. For more details and photos check out my blog: http://samsplayground.com/national-bison-range-montana/ If you are wanting to see Bison you can also go to Yellowstone National Park and they are everywhere!

check their site for hours and what wildlife is likely to be seen, but you're likely to see not only bison there but lots of other wildlife -- from your vehicle.
