Too many folks come to these sites (there are several viewpoints) and take a few pictures and "whoof"... More
We were there late on a Saturday afternoon; it was raining and cool-the setting was perfect. It was a very worshipful time for us-seeing the splendor of God's creation in an amazing atmosphere.
Views of the falls, river, surrounding mountains are magnificent. Without a doubt, one of the most awe-inspiring places I've ever been.
I found that to be amazing! Just one of the facts you will find out if you stay for a while listen to the rangers, go into the educations centers in the park, and just watch the show mother nature as provided!
You must take binoculars, a spotting scope or a good zoom lens. The beauty is not just the scenery. I spotted an occupied osprey nest.
Never freezes because of all the surrounding thermal events and there are swans everywhere in it during the winter because it stays so open!
There is decent fishing from a drift boat and easy access to good wade fishing. Beautiful scenery and nice camping spots along the way.
Several rivers in park all Beautiful, country is stunning. Grand Canyon of Yellowstone with this river carved with help off geologloic events blows you away and see how park got its name. gotta see it..
