This is the home of J. Sterling Morton, the founder of Arbor Day -- his brother invented Morton Salt! Arbor Day STARTED in Nebraska! Cool! It was a very nice tour!

The outside grounds are becoming crummy. Used to be immaculate grounds keeping and beautiful flowers. Now it's a lot of weeds, dandelions, etc, which definitely distract from the beauty of the estate. Obviously, less money is being allotted for it's upkeep. Inside, beautiful antique furniture and artifacts.
Very historic and lovely little town with great fruits and desserts in season. Many things to do and nice camping for the outdoorsy types.
Spent a pleasant couple of hours looking at the beautiful architecture, the tasteful displays, and the gardens.
Neat area to learn about Nebraska history and fun city
This is a "very" interesting place. You can spend an entire morning or afternoon there. Takes you back in time.
Walk through to see the past, has always interested me. I found this place fascinating.
Great way to spend a day fall day when the leaves have began to turn
good park for the family. some of the facilities are old, but that is part of being out in nature.
You do need a sticker for your car to enter but you can park across the street and walk. The mansion is really worth seeing and there is a lot of Nebrasla history. Check out the ;Whispering Bench.'
