I went on a short walking tour of the blocks in the area. I was able to photograph the silver-colored domes on the state capitol building and the legislative building. Also establishments along the main avenue reflected old Western style of design, which made my brief visit enjoyable.

Stopped in, while in the area, mostly to do a little Geocaching, but enjoyed our visit the Capital and the Capitol Museum. The Guard on duty was EXTREMELY friendly and we actually spent a great deal of time talking to him and learning about their Governor and such. The grounds were beautiful and we found a family of owls along... More

Capitol complex grounds were beautiful to see. There is no official tour however, you can go inside and walk around, we saw and old safe and the typical things you see at a state capitol and some great art work.

This is a working state Capitol where access to all offices are right there in the open. It is two floors of historic views of Nevada history. It would be good for Nevada school children to see how things came to be - not much to see as much has been moved to the state museum.

I love the Capitol grounds, very serene and peaceful! I love the history of the building and glad they've kept up on it. I never go to Carson City without stopping here!

The setting is in a beautiful little parklike area with trees from all sections of Nevada. The building itself is attractive on the exterior, but there is little inside to see or enjoy. I have toured capitol buildings across the country, and found the interior here the least impressive.

A great combination of old historic buildings like the Capitol and modern state offices. Lovely grounds with interesting sculptures.
