I have the same impression of this museum as josta3. The admission price for adults is still just $1.50, $1.00 for seniors and children. Hours are 9 to 4:30 daily. Parking is ample, free, and close to the exhibit center. You pay for admission in this building, which has a drinking fountain and restrooms in addition to the gift shop... more

You will love it, especially if you're a baby boomer like us! For a lousy $1.50, you start out by looking inside the museum with historical items from Southern Nevada, then outside to a "nature walk" with local plants, through a small "ghost town" of historical buildings and mining artifacts, then finally to the relocated Boulder City train depot that... more
