This is such a fun beach for the kids. We always bring coat hangers with strings attached and old bacon or sausage. The kids spend hours over by the boulders catching crawdads. We always let them go, but it lots of fun. There is a snack bar with food and ice cream. FUN Day!

Best sand place in Tahoe! Great for the kids, I always bring my brothers. It is landscaped wonderfully and is always clean. I recommend you bring your own food and drinks because the cafe is pricey of course but other than that! The bathrooms are clean and there is shade underneath the trees.

Sand harbor is a beautiful beach and is very popular for good reason. Perfect for kids. Bring a bucket, string and hotdogs or lunchmeat and they will spend hours catching crawdads by the rocks. Arrive very early in July and August to park and be prepared to pay for the privilege. Only a few trees so take shade. Also the... More

This is one of my favorite places at Lake Tahoe. The beach is beautiful and well kept, the scenery is priceless. Beach does get crowded, so go early to get the best place. Remember to pick up all of your trash and leave Lake Tahoe even cleaner than you found it!

Sand Harbor State Park is just south of Incline Village, and offers one of the few sandy beaches around Lake Tahoe. It's fun to walk around the rocky peninsula at the end, with beautiful views across the lake. Pay parking, and very crowded during the summer.

Shakespeare at the Lake is superb! There is great food, too, as well as the beautiful setting for these classics.

Lots of picnic area and a huge beach. It gets crowded so get there early. If they say the parking lot is full, try some where else. Because the beach will be full also!

You must stop at Sand Harbor and the little pull off right before it on your trip to lake tahoe. Actually, the little pull off right before Sand Harbor (when coming from the north) had even better views but I have no idea what that was called. Amazing lake views, go around dusk to sunset. Waves crashing on the beach... More
