Our resort had bus trips for $20/person. We didn't feel like paying almost 10x the amount and 3x the amount of time to go the Grand Canyon from Vegas. It was unbelievable. Three of my travel companions have been to the Grand Canyon and loved Red Rocks. more

This was the best $5.00 spent on our vacation. The views are well worth the small entrance fee. There is a 13 mile, one way scenic drive around the area with many places to stop, get out and enjoy the scenery. There are lots of trails to hike, bicycling, and benches to sit and relax. We stopped and took lots... more

We went to Las Vegas for the first time this past May, and wanted to visit some of the outlying desert. After reading many rave reviews for the guided hike company Hike This! online, we booked a rock scrambling excursion at Red Rock Canyon. We chose a morning hike, hoping to avoid the hottest part of the day. Around 8... more

We live in New Jersey and visit Las Vegas at least once a year since 1980. We go through Red Rock Canyon on every trip. The scenery is breathtaking, and it never gets old. I've never been there when the flowers are in bloom, but hopefully one of these days! more

We prebooked a guided hike to Red Rock Canyon with Neil Sobelson of Hike This! Las Vegas. We booked 4 tours during our visit to LV and this was definitely the best value by far, especially considering it was a private hike with just my husband and I being guided and entertained throughout the trail by the very personable Neil.... more

Red Rock Canyon was beautiful! It was well worth the $5 it cost to get in. The 13 mile loop has plenty of places to stop and enjoy the view, along with plenty of hiking trails. Went there for the first time and before I left decided to go back a few days later. If you are in Las Vegas/southern... more

My husband and I rented a motorcyle and drove out to the Red Rock Canyon. We stopped at the visitor center, which I must admit, we drove by at first. It's tiny and doesn't look like much from the road, but the plans inside for the NEW center look awesome! The 13 mile scenic drive is great - we stopped... more

I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon at Red Rock Canyon. My biggest regret was that we went too late in the day, and didn't have more time to linger. Beautiful rock formations. Great spot for photographers. The afternoon shadows were beginning to appear, and it made for some great color and black and white shots. Not crowded. Not noisey. No freaky,... more

A relatively small and narrow valley that is situated around 15 miles west of downtown Las Vegas. Click on the link for more info and driving directions. First time I saw and heard of a Joshua Tree. We were told that the Joshua Tree was given its name by Mormon settlers traveling through the Mojave Desert, because the plant reminded... more

We got the idea to visit Red Rock Canyon off Tripadvisor and I’m so glad we went. It reminded us of Utah, the red rocks are best seen on a sunny day. The main canyon area has a one way scenic drive but the best part is the first section so don’t rush through it. There is also Red Spring... more
