The Stratosphere Tower provides a cheap way to stay on "the strip" if you can't afford one of the other hotels on the stip but as it is at one end of the stip, it is some distance from the main hotels and (due to the heat in Vegas) you'll probably need to take a bus or monorail to see... more

I stayed in stratosphere hotel on a thursday-friday and my total was only $33 including taxes. I only stayed here because my friends were not arriving until friday night and I couldnt afford alot of the other hotels by myself. My room was cool. paid $35 each for tower entrance and 3 rides. The view at the top is lovely over vegas. The rides are a disappointment. The big one shoots you up the spire and is the best of the lot. Of the others..Insanity is a very tame spinning chair ride which is suspended over the end of the tower...but still very dull.... more

First, it is nice to have something to do with teenagers in Vegas. Second, the view from 1000 feet up is spectacular; especially at night.
