It may be getting a little hot to go to this area now near Laughlin, AZ, as it gets VERY hot there. We 4 wheel drove in the area in a truck. Got out and walked and hiked around, in and over rocks, etc. It was really neat. Very interesting. The petroglyphs are amazing. Bring your camera, water and a...

The hike was 1/3 mile in. The drawings were out of this world. This is a must for kids to experience. Well worth the trip.
This was the one place where we saw the best petroglyphs! Be sure to take water, wear a hat and a snack or picnic. You can explore so much in the area but please remember to respect the environment and take out what you take in. Enjoy and explore, don't destroy this beautiful wilderness area.
The petroglyphs are worth the short .25 mile walk. You can walk right up to them and see them.
The directions are wrong on many sites. Here is the correct ones.
Head west on Highway 163 from Laughlin. Keep an eye out for Christmas Tree Pass Road and make a right. Drive straight about 1.5 miles on this dirt road,...

This was a nice hike and the petroglyphs were amazing!

Suggest wearing long pants and gloves as there is some bushwacking and rock crawling involved if you want to keep going around "that next bend"
It was incredible to see the drawings, the ravine and animal life in the desert. I would recommend a trip to Grapevine Canyon. About 7 miles out of Laughlin. Be prepared for the unpaved road, bumpy and sandy, but worth it!
