I have just had my third visit to Vegas and as much as I enjoy the Place I don't think we will be able to afford to return as everything is so expensive for the ordinary folk. I notice that parts of Vegas are now feeling the pinch financially. Many of the hotels down the New york New york end... More

Weekedays, it is OK for a few hours. On a weekend, it is like one little hill with a million ants crawling all over it.

Beautiful sights on the way up to the mountain. Friendly and helpful staff, including the ski instructors. I went with 8 other girls on a Vegas trip and decided to make this our adventure day. Most girls never put on a pair of skiis. I have skiied before but never snowboarded. I took the lesson and throuroughly enjoyed it. I... More

I've skied all over the world, and whenever i hear somebody demean our local area, it tells me one of tow things; 1) they must have limited experience on a board or skis. I challange anybody to find a NASTAR set up any where in the country that can compare with LVSSR. Next weekend we have some of the top... More

When coming to Las Vegas you think of desert and gambling, not skiing. You will be surprised to find that there is an Alpine forest and a ski hill about 50 miles northwest of the Las Vegas strip. They use man-made snow to augment the natural snowfall and have an excellent hill grooming team that keeps the main runs in... More

My daughter wanted to go to Las Vegas, but my husband and I wanted for the kids to go to the snow. I search ski near Las Vegas and there was a wonderful place no more than 45 minutes away from the strip. It is a little bit hidden and there are no many signs on the road; howver, if... More

LVSS - real snow real close. Great skiing so close to Vegas. Not challenging on the cut and established runs, but you can make your own in the trees and have a good day. There are allot of boarders stuck in that 80's skier vs boarder mentality, but like a previous review mentioned they are all obviously stoned or cracked... More

I should have reviewed this place earlier, but I didn't know it was listed in TripAdvisor. A great spot that I try to visit every time I visit Vegas in the spring. Only 45 minutes from any hotel on the strip and the skiing is always decent. It's a small place, so don't expect lots of amenities. A small cafeteria... More

Year after year, we think to ourselves "We don't have anything else to do. Let's do a day at Lee Canyon." And after that day, we realize why we don't really go up there any longer. First off, if you're learning to ski, there are good points and very bad points. The good point is that it is that the... More

It's pretty amazing that us desert-dwellers out here in Las Vegas can drive 45 minutes out of town and find great winter ski conditions like these. I've been snowboarding at LVSSR for several years now and it's always a great time. The convenience, location, and ease of the place are well worth the $50 lift ticket if you're a beginning... More
