We really enjoyed driving through this park and getting out once in awhile to see the rocks and petroglyphs up close. more

This park is about an hour and a half from Las Vegas. It is one of the most beautiful places I have been in a while. The rock formations and colors were stunning. It is a state park so has fewer restrictions than national parks. We could walk anywhere without gates and fences blocking our view. Leave Las Vegas early.... more

We recently took a trip from Las Vegas to the Valley of Fire on a rented Harley. It took about 45 mins to get there,and it was well worth it! The drive is great, definitely gives you a sense of the desert, but it's not too far. We were short on time or we could have spent the day there.... more

Well "out of town", but well worth the drive. We went last weekend, and enjoyed every moment. Be sure to drive up to the Lost City Museum in Overton, it's worth the visit as well. more

Fantastic park!! A small entrance fee then you are in! Easy to get around and amazing to see. Bring your camera and some water. Pristine natural beauty here......amazing paintings and wall etchings from 4000 + years ago......its amazing to walk right up and touch and see these.....but a shame people feel the need to scratch their names and initials on... more

Valley of fire is only about an hour northeast of Las Vegas. If you get tired of all the people this is an amazing place. It is all redrock sandstone and rainbow colors you can't even imagine. It is a state park with a very nice visitor center. If you want to experience the desert, this is the place. more
