rode there for the first Inge last spring break on the tail end of a 39 inch dump! Great terrain and was on a lift within 35 minutes of leaving downtown Reno!
Now that is has modernized a lot of the charm is gone. Chairs thay go too fast for such a short mountain. Below average skiers and boarders are the prevalent clientele with the Nevada destert crowd mixed in. Boring and crowded.
It's not the biggest or fanciest ski resort, but that's why I love it! I learned to ski here 5 years ago and am now a fairly confident and happy skier. Had never been to Mt. Rose till this year when my wife daughter and I all got season passes, this last weekend was amazing, love the terrain, they have a little of everything, and something for everyone, lots of beginner terrain, board park, and gotta love the chutes for the expert riders
