The staff and the location is what makes this place. They are friendly, helpful and a joy to work with. Mt. Rose is in a great spot and the views are spectacular!

rode there for the first Inge last spring break on the tail end of a 39 inch dump! Great terrain and was on a lift within 35 minutes of leaving downtown Reno!

Now that is has modernized a lot of the charm is gone. Chairs thay go too fast for such a short mountain. Below average skiers and boarders are the prevalent clientele with the Nevada destert crowd mixed in. Boring and crowded.

It's not the biggest or fanciest ski resort, but that's why I love it! I learned to ski here 5 years ago and am now a fairly confident and happy skier. The people are laid back, prices are reasonable, and they are very family friendly. If you have a little one and don't want to give up skiing, you can... More

As if the daily lift specials weren't good enough, Mt.Rose has very generous senior lift and pass rates. On Two-fer Tuesday's, two seniors can ski for about $25 apiece! Best yet, they have a great "granny" ski area that is easy, wide, but offers enjoyable skiing, even on windy days like we had a couple of weeks ago. This 60... More

Easy access from the parking lot to the lifts, especially from the Winters Creek Lodge parking lot. No shuttle or cable car needed. Only three major chairlifts but dozens of run. Great for beginners, but also for advanced skiers. The restaurant at the main lodge can be overloaded especially on holidays and it's a pity there's no lobby or any... More

My husband and I traveled to Reno and went up to Mt Rose for three days. The lounge was bustling with activity and you got to keep warm after a few runs. The snow was packed perfectly and it made for some great runs. On the last day we were there they were experiencing some high winds but this didn't... More
