I love mount Washington and its a great place to visit. I have been several times and try to go every year. Fun to drive up the auto road, its just a great overall adventure, Great view, AWESOME Photo opportunity and just a wonderful place to visit. Definitely worth the trip.

We went in mid-May, and the road was only open to just above tree-line. We drove ourselves, and the CD guide was very interesting. Luckily, it was a clear day and we had great views when we stopped at the highest point we were allowed to drive. There are also some great places to get out and see the woods.

If you plan a trip by motorcycle to the White Mountains, you should make time to go up the Mount Washington Auto Road. The views are spectacular and it's a trip you won't forget!

Road was closed at the halfway mark. We got a "discount" price of $25. Wind was blowing hard enough as to make walking difficult at the stops. If you can't go all the way, don't waste your time (and money).

Closed because of weather. However, we were met at the barrier by an extremely polite warden, who explained the problems, and made it clear that we'd be wasting our time to try going up. Disappointing not to be able to go up, but good to know why.

After hiking up three times it was time to drive it again. Excellent views and a thrilling drive. Make sure you take your time and get out at the outlooks for the best views and for taking photos.
