We specifically made a trip to North Conway to see Hartmann's because my 13 yr-old son is a model train fanatic. This was our 2nd time. Being located just south of Story Land, you would think this place would get a nice draw from the families who pass by with kids all day in the summer. This place is a joke! What an utter tourist trap and rip off. The shop is nice with many fine model train items but the people who run it are very unfriendly and unwelcoming especially to children. Spent $5 apiece to see the rairoad models. Not well lit, and dust scenes, ran for 3 minutes. The panoramas were o.k. but not special. Large collection of different models was excellent in display cases.
