This monument was not wanted, basically. It is hidden in defunct shipping warehouses outside of Bayonne, NJ. Although the artist rendering shows it sitting nicely in Liberty State Park, it is not there. Jersey City did not want it. New York did not want it. So it ended up in Bayonne. It overpowers the tiny sliver of land it sits... more
