I used the ferry to get myself and my bicycle from Weehawken NJ to Pier 79, finding it easy to use (self-service ticket terminal on the pier in Weehawken that takes credit cards). Ferries were quick and clean, a great alternative to driving into Manhattan for a day trip.

This is a must do for 1 time, expensive for everyday. Quick and easy to get to NYC.

This was a quick way to get back and forth to the city but I thought it was expensive. For a family of 4, it cost us $66. We did save $3 on each child ticket on the return trip home from the NY side. This is not offered at the hotel. They run late so we were able to... More

Loved the complimentary shuttle in NYC! Our driver brought us right where we needed to go. The schedule board at the NYC terminal is a bit confusing,

Upside: You can't beat the view of the city skyline. They run on time and are very efficient. There are buses waiting on the island that will take you to or at least within walking distance of most major attraction areas (no cost). Downside: The cost. $10 to park in the lot and nearly $100 for round trip fare for... More

the app for the iphone makes it so easy to use. purchase tickets see where the bus is. OhMeGosh it was so easy to navigate. The ride from the ferry landing to the 9/11 memorial was a bit long. but traffic in the city. i would rather take the ferry/bus than try and navigate the city myself.

Prices go up and service keeps going down. Very convenient BUT outsourced parking requires standing on 2 lines to buy tickets. Window agents are not particularly helpful. The cost is VERY HIGH for value

My friends and I rode the Ferry into New York City to attend the 2012 New York International Auto Show. It was much easier riding the ferry over than driving into the City. We were in New York City and walking to our destination within 5-10 minutes of the ferry departing from New Jersey.
