The Falls are beautiful but unfortunately there was a lot of water damage in 2011 on the walkways. One can not access all viewpoints anymore and I hope that the platforms for viewing will be repaired soon. It was disappointing that literally nothing has been done in the past 12 months to get the park back to it former glory.

This is a beautiful location.The area has safe wooden walkways.The only drawback is some of the landings that have been closed for some time after heavy floods - it's time they fix this!

We visited in winter, the dry season, and so the falls themselves were at their lowest. Augrabies experienced heavy flooding early February and at the time of our visit mid March around six weeks later only two of five viewpoints around the Falls were open; the rest had tape blocking access due to water damage.
