We, a group of 7 from Uruguay, were in South Africa for the 2010 WORLD CUP games and wanted to spend a week in the wine lands. We asked our travel agency at home to recommend a tour company in Franschhoek as we had no idea where to start. They recommended 'Phomolo Travel'. We looked at their website and opted... More

In September 2009 three friends engaged Phomolo Travel to take us on a Trip of a Lifetime. We started our journey in Franschhoek in the Western Cape and visited Namibia, Botswana, and Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe from where we flew back to Cape Town. We covered over 5000 K by road and from the moment Koen picked us up in... More

This self-drive tour was designed by Phomolo Travel, a travel company based in Franschhoek. This was one of the best ways to see Franschhoek and the Winelands. For those who want to be independent but who also want reassurance that the route planned is realistic in terms of daily distances travelled. It is also good to know that there is... More

Koen was very responsive & flexible and accommodated all of our wishes for a relaxed tour of some of our favourite vineyards. Good company and quick... More

The wine lands, forty minutes east of Cape Town, are South Africa's top experience. With Phomolo Travel I visited the following towns, all of which offer a variety of vineyards and excellent European-style restaurants: Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl. Koen and Beryl will likely include a wine tasting at a vineyard or two; and lunch. It was a great experience and... More

We stayed 3 nights in Cape Town (79 on Orange), and 2 nights in Franschhoek (Plumwood) The first day, we went for a scenic tour of the vast Cape Peninsula, including the fisherman’s town of Hout Bay and its Seal Island. The spectacular Chapman’s Peak, the landmarks of Cape Point and the... More
