I think this is not realy a National park. Very small area with not much to see. Pricy and no service from staff. Not worth visiting. A waste of a tourists time.

Picnic was great...there are braii (BBQ) facilities on the river bank as well, not to be missed for a few hours esp if you have kids!

We went for a nice walk in a deserted part of the park; it was very peaceful, although we didn't see much wildlife apart from the very beautiful bontebok

You can reach the beach and really appreciate the beauty of flora and fauna here. From Rothman Manor it is located about an 1.5h away. Must cross the river on a self pulled fairy, great experience!

A basic park of typically rough roads and scrub that acts as a home for the somewhat ellusive Bontebok. Best suited for a relaxing exploration of the wild rather than a quick visit.

The bird life is worth the visit. Bring your binoculars with. There is only bontebok in the park. The chalets are comfortable for 2 people. It is the best place just to unwind. Swellendam is close by, but the gates close at 19h00, and there is no restaurant in the camp.

It was good to see some bontebok but the walk we took along the river was probably the highlight. And the drive round the rest of the reserve was disappointing

My parents and I visited Bontebok National Park on our driving trip from Cape Agulhas to Knysna, and it was a good 2-hour stop. This is a pretty bare-bones national park with minimal infrastructure. There's a small information center, and a picnic center further into the park.  The area around Bontebok is arid and hot, so the park landscape is... More
