He lived in this house which is filled with his work.Free tours are given regularly

Beautiful setting, helpful docent-led tours, handsome architecture. Lots of info about Cole's life and times, but very few of his paintings. Even some reproductions would have been nice.

Thomas Cole being the Father of the Hudson River School of painting. Lovingly and beautifully restored. Tour the house and his workshop learn about how people lived back then, very educational in addition to the famous art. Also they have guided walking tours that bring you to picturesque locations like Kaaterskill clover and sunset rock where many famous paintings were... More
