Have gone on candlelight christmas tour which we enjoyed but was very cold. We hear the Halloween Jack O latern tour is a sight to see.

This was a road house on the old Appalacian trail and is a great way to spend the day and introduce children to the way it used to be. Often, there are cooking demonstrations. It is one of the interesting sites that takes you back to the way New Yorkers lived in years gone by.

What an amazing display. Thousands of artfully carved and displayed pumpkins. The house is lit with dramatic lighting and there is appropriate sound. This takes place in October and early November. Really had a great time even if we were just a bunch of adults.. Probably wouldn't do it again, but an excellent experience for everyone to do at least once. I thought the pumpkins would have been real, but unfortunately learned they were all fake. Oh Well.

A very interesting afternoon out. The manor is in fact a number of buildings each with it's own guide in period costume. There was also a blacksmith working and it was a very hot day.
