Having grown up in this area almost 30 years ago, I was quite amazed at the unbelievable improvements made. A visitors center, maps and signage, small fountains, guide maps and childrens activity book. That being said, it is small by botanical garden standards. The two childrens touch boards in the visitors center were not working. The wedding garden is spectacular... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit QBG and write about your experience! We're glad you enjoyed your time at the Garden, and indeed, we are quite proud that our admission fee is reasonably priced. Regarding the touch screens, we apologize -- in recent weeks we've been experiencing some technical difficulties with the connection to the server.... More

Great spot with history dating back to NY's first World's Fair, calming gardens, terrific (plus fun!) events, nice birding, and close to fab eating -- who could ask for anything more?!

The QBG is by far one of the best kept secrets in Flushing. I recently visited in a Tuesday afternoon and nearly had the garden to myself. Cherry blossoms in full bloom, tulips and daffodils are just a few of the lovely pleasures I enjoyed there. The garden even has its own bee hives! Truly amazing and beautiful, definitely worth... I only visited QBG for the first time last year and have been back a quite a few times since. It is small as Botanical Gardens go, but dont let the size fool you, it really is a gem. I love the the attention to sustainability and the way the gardens are laid out. It is so inviting for a... More

I love that the Queens Botanical Garden has so many different themes within the garden. There is a rose garden, herb garden, wedding garden, backyard garden, and even ornamental grass garden. So much to see and even at the end of the season, there were lots of flowers still in bloom. Great oasis in the middle of Queens! There is... More

I visited here with a couple of friends and was totally disappointed. We paid to get into and within 20 mins had finished seeing almost everything. The person at the entrance could not speak english , so we had to signal how many people we were to pay the fees. The entrance has some nice path and trees which you can... More

When one thinks of a botanical garden, one expects something larger and more elaborate than this. While the garden has some colorful displays in the summer, it is not in the same class as the Brooklyn and New York (Bronx) Botanical Gardens and has no display greenhouses. If you are staying in Flushing and have nothing better to do, a... More
