Been going to Bellayre for over 50 years. Skied there as a teenager, and our daughters took their first (and many more) ski lessons on the mountain. Good family ski destination - fewer party-people on the slopes than the fancier places.

A nice mountain for those not looking for large crowds. It is a pretty small mountain, but very nice and relaxing.
I'm not the best and I'm not the worst snowboarder. But this place is pretty good. Dbl diamond blacks are steep! Single diamond blacks are a lil less steep but still steep. Hunter is more challenging, but for families, this mountain is friendlier. It is probably the crowd that is drawn by this mountain compared to others that make it more appropriate for families with young children. The lower part of the mountain is segregated from the main area so it is less likely that out of control skiers and snow boarders...

Something for everybody here. Love that beginner trails are seperate part of mountain. Lifts are slow
Skiing at Belleayre was the second time I have ever skiied. My first time was at Shawnee in the Poconos the year before. As this was a snowless winter, there was only man-made snow on the trails, but it was pretty decent. Not too many icy spots. For a beginner, there are plenty of green and blue trails.
