My husband and I were very disappointed with Lake George. We hoped for countryside walks around the lake, opportunities to swim in the clear waters and to mountain bike around the hills nearby. Lake George is a great destination. The thing I love the most about it is it's very quiet and relaxing, but at the same time, the Lake George Village, which is their downtown area is very lively. So if you're looking to relax, you can always just go to the many beaches on Bolton Landing, enjoy a nice boat ride... more

The water at the Lake is clear and calm. My children enjoyed jumping off pier into lake. Plenty of lifeguards standing by on alert.Lot's of things to do on mainstrip. The Haunted House was our Favorite more

From the first moment you arrive the most stressful thing you will have to do is what you want to do first! There was pretty easy beach access. Lots of ways to get on or in the water. Convenient to have the souvenir stores and casual restaurants nearby, and the outlets were packed as well. Traffic in town is very crowded in season. more

The Lake is great, recommend the beech for a swim or a cruise to see the best of it. Everything about the lake is a tourist nightmare. more

Such a pretty place. The people are so friendly. So much to do. There is the lake, boat rides, the fort, outlets, amusement parks. The mts are fun to go up also. ITs really nice foliage too. I would go back here in the fall. There is just so much to do here. more

I have been to Lake George many times since I was a child. Every store I have been in has the AC going. I have also eaten many affordable meals all along the lake. You just have to know where to look. I have had breakfast for under $5 and lunch and dinner for under $15. I have also gotten... more

Just got back from my first trip to lake george.. I was very excited to see a place with such a amazing history.. That was disapointing, The only history they had was markers where remarkable historical things have happened soldiers dying battles marches and such.. however these markers were in front of hot dog stands diners and the unbeleivable numerous... more
