Went to Lake Placid for a night, 2 days. I was surprised to see how much there was to do with the kids. Kids had a great time. more
The Lake Placid Winter Olympic Museum will take very little time. But is well worth the stop. The museum has many artifacts and historical memorabilia. However it is very small, everything fits into one room. It is more of an adult attraction. There is not much to hold the interest of smaller children and they could get bored very easily.... more
Not only do they have an extensive collection of memorabilia from the 1932 and 1980 Lake Placid Winter Olympic games but they also have memorabilia from every Winter Olympics ever held. Anyone with a recollection of the 1980 Winter Olympics will love this museum. They have a large area devoted to the Miracle on Ice. Well worth the $5 entry... more
The museum was very interesting and getting to actually go upstairs to see the ice rinks was really cool. I think it was $4. Take the time to stop in town and see the site. more
