The "fossiles" are not what you would expect. If you spend 20 minutes looking at them ... The display building is cold damp mildewed and sparce on exhibits. Think a place on the side of the road with a billboard "Prehistoric Beasts" without the billboard.

A gorgeous place right inside the city of Saratoga Springs. The fossil reef was at the oceans edge 500 million years ago. There's a glacial (?) standing stone with a notch where the sun rises at dawn on the solstice. Highly recommended!
